STORYTIME


A drop in Storytime for "Adventurers in the Making" (ages 0-6years) takes place every Wednesday afternoon at 1 pm throughout the summer starting June 30. This is part of the Destination Jungle TD Summer Reading Program.

The next registered Storytime session for 3-6 year olds will begin in September.  Children enjoy theme-related stories, songs, fingerplays and crafts.  Click here to view our Events Calendar.

TD SUMMER READING PROGRAM -- DESTINATION JUNGLE!


Registration begins Monday June 14 at 5 pm.

Pack your binoculars and bug repellant for your adventure: Destination Jungle! Use your knowledge of animals and survival skills to help the TD Summer Reading Club explore every inch of the jungle with stories, games and more.

Session 1 (ages 7-12) June 28-July 9 Into the Wild
Session 2 (ages 7-12) July 19-July 30 Born to be Wild
Session 3 (ages 7-12) August 9-20 It's a Jungle Out There!
Each session $5 per child

Jungle Mania (ages 6-8) July 13-July16
Jungle Mania (ages 6-8) August 3-August 6
$5 per child

JUNGLE KITS (TD SUMMER READING PROGRAM)


Can't make the summer program? Too young? On vacation? Pick up your Jungle Kit anyway and/or play the giant Jungle Safari gameboard for FREE! This is part of the TD Summer Reading Program.

PAWS TO READ


Sign your child up for a 15 min. reading session with a certified therapy dog. Grades K-8.

EARLY LITERACY STATION

Visit the Children's Department to try out the new Early Literacy Station for ages 2 - 10 years. Lots of age appropriate educational programs to experience. READING BUDDIES


Improve your child's reading by registering him or her for Reading Buddies!   The program pairs your child (grade 1 and up) with a high school student who is earning community service credit.  "Buddies" meet at the library once a week to work on reading skills by reading aloud with each other. Register now.
